Burst pipe in vacant home causes water damage
When the hot water pipe burst on the second floor of this Mount Kisco, NY home, it caused significant water damage. After arriving at the home and placing air moving and dehumidifying equipment, Brendan, our estimator, scoped the home to determine what course of action should be taken.
The walls and flooring in the lower level den were unsalvageable. We removed the walls, insulation and ceilings in the den. A dumpster was required for all of the debris. The upper level closet and bathroom, which is where the loss site was located, required demolition as well. Our crew placed our floor mat system in the kitchen as well as on the wood floors in the bedroom in an effort to salvage, rather than demolish, those floors.
